I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.  I retired from the Mount Diablo Unified School District in June, 2011.  I worked for MDUSD for 24 years, first as a teacher of students with special needs for 13 years, then as a high school vice principal for five years, and retiring after serving for six years as a high school principal.  My children were schooled in Mount Diablo public schools, and I am now a grandparent of a MDUSD kindergarten student.  I have always been proud to have been part of MDUSD, both as an employee and parent, and have believed in the professionalism of the teachers and staff of this district.  My commitment is to work so that all of our students continue to receive an excellent education within our district.  I will also strive to work so that parents are part of the education process, knowing that they are partners in the education of their students.
